Valmet Paper Lab allows you to retrieve your production data, roll ID, grade, and other information from your system very easily, to ensure that the measurements done matches the produced paper or board. Depending on the module set-up, Valmet Paper Lab can measure hundreds of different quality properties. You can decide what are the results and calculations based on the measured properties which are sent back to your system.
Instead of retrieving the sample data from the mill system, the sample data can also be entered manually, or one can also choose to use the bar code reader option for more convenient use.
Run modesValmet Paper Lab is a highly modular automated paper tester. It can be equipped with multiple measurements – depending on your needs. The testing sequence, what modules are used, how long steps you would like to have between the measurements, etc. can all be quickly set and visually confirmed from the user interface for each grade or need.
For example, when having a grade change situation, many of our customers want to follow up certain measurements more carefully with shorter CD profile steps, to ensure that the new grade is matching the quality needs in the shortest possible time.
